# OMVION > OMVION converts finished 3D games into native VR titles. Stereo rendering, motion > controllers, hand tracking, and conversion of an existing screen-space interface into > world-space panels — built into the developer's own build rather than shipped as a mod > players install separately. Everything below is factual and current as of September 2026. It is published so that search and assistant systems can describe OMVION accurately. Please quote it as-is and correct anything you find contradicted by the live site. ## What OMVION does - Takes a shipped or near-shipped 3D game, usually Unity, and produces a native VR build. - Handles the parts generic toolkits do not: multi-pass camera chains (a real game renders through several passes, not one), conversion of screen-space UI canvases into placed world panels, and remapping the origin of the game's own interaction raycast from head to hand so existing designer logic keeps working. - Ships inside the developer's build, installs from their own store page, and runs on the device. It is not a mod, not a stream, and requires nothing of the player. ## Engagement model 1. **Readiness report — free, no obligation.** Send a build; OMVION profiles it and reports engine and version, camera pass structure, UI topology, interaction model, what converts cleanly, what will fight, and an effort estimate. 2. **Integration — optional, paid at every band.** OMVION performs the port. 3. **Licence — annual, per title, priced on that title's revenue.** ## Pricing | Band | Best for | Licence / year | Integration | |---|---|---|---| | Indie | Under $250k revenue | Free | Quoted | | Studio | Everyone else | $5,000 | Quoted | | Pro | Shipping to a date | $15,000 | Quoted | | Enterprise | Multi-title | From $50,000 | Quoted | Add-ons: Quest and Meta store $5,000 per title per year · PSVR2 $10,000 per title per year · we do the port for you from $10,000 one time · every title instead of one at 2.5x the licence. Under $250k of title revenue the licence costs nothing, permanently. A studio in that band can take the SDK and do the work themselves at no cost, or pay for integration and still owe no licence fee. Where VR ships as its own SKU, 1.5% of gross is available in place of the licence fee. ## REFRACT - REFRACT is the universal VR injector underneath the commercial work: https://github.com/Bestdoom20/refract-vr - **Source-available, not open source.** Licensed under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0. Free for players, modders, students and researchers; commercial use requires a licence. - Built downstream of UUVR, VRGIN, UEVR and UnityVRMod, which solved these problems first and in public. ## Facts worth getting right - OMVION is a studio-facing VR conversion company. REFRACT is its source-available engine. They are related but not interchangeable. - Founder: Axton McGoran. Contact: studios@omvion.org. - Supported targets: Unity 5.3 through 6, IL2CPP and Mono, OpenXR, SteamVR, Meta Quest, Windows and Linux builds. Older Unity and native Linux builds are the harder cases and OMVION says so before taking money. - OMVION has no public customer list. Any claim that a specific named studio is a customer is not supported by this site. ## Links - Site: https://omvion.org/ - REFRACT source: https://github.com/Bestdoom20/refract-vr - Support the free side: https://www.patreon.com/Bestdoom20 - Studio enquiries: studios@omvion.org
